1.1 - What is new in LMS 3.0?
The following are the new features of LMS 3.0: New interface.All files are now binary files for speed and file security.
1.2 - What is an LMS Portfolio?
An LMS Portfolio is the information and file organization used by LMS.
The portfolio consists of inventory and spatial information combined with
configuration information about the inventory and methods to accomplish
tasks within LMS.
1.3 - How do I convert an LMS 2.0 portfolio to LMS 3.0?
Open the LMS 2.0 portfolio with LMS 3.0 and it will be converted to the new file format.
2.1 - How are spatial coordinates obtained for stand visualization?
Spatial coordinates are generated using a uniform random distribution.
3.1 - Are LMS 2.0 scenario files usable in LMS 3.0?
LMS 2.0 scenario files can not be used by LMS 3.0. All files in LMS 3.0 are now binary.
4.1 - How do I get my own data into LMS?
There are two general ways to get your own inventory information into LMS 3.0: The Inventory
Wizard is the easiest way to get plot level data
entered into LMS 3.0.The Portfolio Builder allows you to conver information
in Access databases, Excel files, or text files into
LMS 3.0 portfolios. See the online help for additional
