LMS-FFE Addon Page

Fire effects and risk analysis capabiolities have been added to the Landscape Management System (LMS) with the release of the LMS-FFE Addon. Fire effects are modeled using the USFS Fire and Fuel Effect (FFE) extension for the FVS growth model. A point and click user interface allow users to configure LMS to use the FFE extension to the FVS growth model. Additional tables have been added to LMS to allow access to FFE potential fire behavior and effects, fuel loading, and fule consumption and physical effects outputs and a fire risk scoping report that provides landscape level fire risk and stand structure information summarized into graphical output. Additional functionality allows the user to simulate a fire in a stand and view a time series of visualizations of the fire moving through the stand.
